BiographyOlamide also known as baddo, YBLN, Baddest Boy Ever Liveth, a renowed Nigerian artiste who producesRecords mostly in his native language; Yoruba as well as Pidgin and English languages. Olamide is said to be the only rapper in the Nigerian music history to release six albums in six years. His real name; Olamide Adedeji, who was born on the 15th of March, 1989, in Bariga, Lagos, Nigeria. He had both his primary and secondary school education in Lagos, Nigeria and thereafter proceeded to attend Tai Solarin College of Education where he got his first degree in Mass Communication.
At the tender age of ten, Olamide decided to pursue and develop his interest in music and ever since has dedicated this entire life to thriving in that particular path. When asked in an interview his reason for his choice for music, he said: ''I realised I was gifted in it so I had to explore it, it's my life, my hustle, my world". Fast forward ten years, he got signed on to the reputable ID Cabasa's Coded Tunes record label where he released his first single, ‘Eni Duro’ which received a wide critical acclaimnemt, instantly shooting the lad into limelight.
A year later (2011), Olamide released his first studio album, 'Rapsodi' which earned him an undeniable national recognition. Songs from hiis album were widely on repeat on radio stations across Nigeria. A couple famous acts from Nigeria including, Wizkid, D’Banj, 9ice, Reminisce amongst others expressed their desire to make music with the then young and promising artiste; Olamide.
In 2011, he was nominated for the next rated act in the Headies Award. Olamide left the Coded Tunes label in 2012 and started his own label which he branded, 'YBNL Nation'. Under his new label, he produced his second album – “YBNL”. The album produced quite a number of hit singles, including; 'Stupid Love', 'Voice of The Street', 'Ilefo Iluminati', 'First of All', 'Durosoke' and 'Owotabua'.The album also featured a lot of collaboration from prominent artistes like Davido, Tiwa Savage, Kayswitch, Dammy Crane, and Samclef. Overall, the album had significantly good reception from both public views and music critics. In 2012, the breakout singer turned icon was nominated for Best Rap Single, Best Rap Album and the Hip Hop World Revelation of the Year.
In 2013, he produced his third studio album, “Baddest Guy Ever Liveth”. Inclusive of numerous hit singles, some worthy of mention include; 'Story for the Gods', 'Anifowose' and 'Yemi My Lover'. A year later, he released his fourth studio album, “Street OT”. On this album, he featured the likes of Nigerian producer and artiste, Don Jazzy who featured on the song 'Skelemba' and Viktoh on the song 'Up in'. He proceeded to bagmore nominations and awards from the Headies, the NVA Video Awards and the Nigeria Entertainment Awards in 2013.
Since then Olamide has been a recurrent wonder in producing hit songs from Eyan Mayweather” and Bobo (2015), to 'The Glory' and Abule Sowo (2016) to Lagos Nawa” and WO (2017), and has yet received numerous Awards and Nominations.

He with his father, mother and two siblings – an elder sister and younger brother, who he is often in touch with grew up together at Bariga, Lagos, Nigeria. Sadly, his mother passed on earlier in the year. He is said to have been dating his long-time girlfriend, Adebukunmi Aisha Suleiman, long before his fame. According to close sources and relatives, Adebukunmi has been with the artiste through his best and worst moments.
